Tackle it Tuesday ~ Sewing Room

Now that we have finally moved all our furniture and boxes into our home it is time to get some tackling done.  This weekend I worked on unpacking all the boxes on the main floor of the house.  We have three floors so I figure the main floor was the first and most important part of the house to get done.

Now that I am done with that part it is time to get started with the room near and dear to my heart.  My sewing room / second office.  Yes in our new home we have place for me to begin working on my passion.  Rag quilting and sewing.  I am also planning on keeping my extra watkins and office supplies in this room also.

To tackle this project I will be unpacking all my fabric, putting away all my office inventory, and get my sewing machine out and running.  Plus I hope to start putting together my first project.

With this weeks menu I will only need to get about 10 things from the store.  Everything else I already have.

 

 

The Next Step

Now that we are all moved in it is time for the next step.  I am not sure which step I like or dislike more.  Moving the actual furniture and boxes in sucks. Carrying everything up and down stairs, deciding what box goes where and what boxes can be put into storage can be a real pain in the you know what.  But the next step can be even worst.

Unpacking the boxes.  Uggghhh… I laid in bed this morning and thought.  Ok you need to get up and start unpacking boxes.  You guys can’t live out of boxes forever.  And to be honest I probably even laid there and argued with myself for a while.  But decided it was time.

Time to get rid of all these boxes and make this house a home.  I think I dislike unpacking boxes the most because it takes me forever to decided where something is going to go.  Unpacking it is the easy part.  Deciding where I should put it and if it looks good is the hard part.

I do have two rooms unpacked.  My office and the dining room so that is a start.  Today I plan on getting the whole main floor unpacked.

That includes:

  • Jim’s office
  • The entry way
  • The Kitchen
  • Haylee’s room
  • The Living room

My plan is that if I can get these rooms unpacked today then I can start sharing beautiful pictures of the rest of my house.

My New Office ~ Wordless Wednesday

I want my routine back!

As much as I love my new house, our new town, Jim’s new hours and position.   I am really really missing my routine.  I have no routine at all right now and it is driving absolutely mad.

I don’t know how to start out my mornings. My work schedule and routine is all messed up.  We have no time schedule for what time we eat lunch.  And it just keeps going from there.

And worse yet.  I don’t have a routine of grocery shopping, working out, taking Haylee to school and picking her up.

There is just no routine and I think I might just go mad. I know they say that you just have to create a new one but come on.  Just this one time can’t someone just tell me what my routine is going to be and then I can go on and be happy and not stark raving mad and always feeling like I am lost and thinking what am I supposed to be doing now.
